What was the focus of Women in Construction (WIC) Week 2026 at Stallion?
For Women in Construction Week 2026 (March 1-7), Stallion Infrastructure Services highlighted the vital role of our Women in Construction Sales. These experts are the frontline strategists who design integrated solutions, including mobile surveillance trailers, power and lighting, and portable sanitation, for the nation’s most complex oilfield, data center, and construction projects.

Why is Women in Construction Week Important for the Industry?
Women in Construction Week, founded by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), serves as a platform to celebrate the growing influence of women in a historically male-dominated sector.
In 2026, women represent approximately 11% of the total construction workforce. However, at Stallion, we see the most significant impact in sales and strategic leadership. Our women sales leaders don’t just rent out equipment; they act as project consultants, ensuring that sites remain OSHA-compliant, secure, and operationally efficient within the client’s budget.
Spotlight: The Women Driving Stallion’s Infrastructure Solutions
During WIC Week 2026, we sat down with our key sales leaders to discuss their roles in the field and the unique perspectives, rewards, and challenges they face when navigating the B2B infrastructure landscape.
What strength do you bring to construction sales that may not get talked about enough?
Construction can easily become chaotic, constantly changing, fast-moving, and messy. I have found that when I can solve my client’s problem and make the process easier for them, they trust me and come back to me repeatedly. Whatever I am helping with, my goal is to be a solution and not another fire to put out. Staying organized and having a clear process has been a big part of my success.
Melissa Wilder
National Account Manager
Adaptability is one of my greatest strengths in construction sales. I call it the ‘chameleon effect.’ Reading the room, adjusting my approach, and meeting people where they are. It’s about being confident, earning respect, and staying authentic in any environment.

Regional Sales Manager
How has working in construction shaped the way you show up as a leader, teammate, or professional?
Working in construction for over 2 decades has taught me to remain humble, eager to learn, and willing to support others. These lessons have shaped how I show up for others. I have always stated, ‘My internal customers (peers) are just as important as my external customers!’ It’s important to show up for both.
Suzanne Vande Moortel
National Account Manager
Construction sales has taught me how to have better conversations and adapt quickly. Every day is different, and learning to navigate that has built my confidence. Being one of the women in a male-dominated industry has also pushed me to speak up, trust what I bring to the table, and feel more confident in my role.

What would you say to a woman who is unsure whether construction is the right fit for her?
If you can problem solve, communicate confidently, and handle a fast-paced environment, you already have what it takes. The industry will teach you the rest. Don’t wait to feel 100% ready; step in and grow into it!
Jessica Holder
Business Development Representative
Construction needs more women for the perspective and strength they bring. You do not have to fit a mold to succeed. Be driven, be willing to grow, and know there is room at the table and space to build a bigger one.
